Nigerian actor and director, now turned politician, Desmond Elliot wants the world to know that though he is not PHCN, he is trying his best to improve power supply in his constituency.

This followed after a fan at one of his local constituent called him out on July 24, 2016 demanding an improvement in erratic power supply in their area.

The fan tweeted: “I just want to tell u Sir that u promise 2 restore our light at Ogunmola close during ur campaign…u haven’t Fulfilled That Sir.

Desmond wasted no time in enlightening her on the extent of his influence as a lawmaker. He replied her saying, “Adeyi Samiat, I said I will do my best . Am not phcn my dear and I have been working hard at it . Patience and see.

However, he promised to work on it in due time. “I will work on it is what I said and that’s what I’m doing. I am a career person in politics and giving the very best to the people of Surulere is my goal,” he tweeted.

I will never promise what l cant deliver, doing a palliative measure is easy but I am working on a permanent measure,” he further added.

In 2014, Elliot moved into politics and joined the political party APC. The following year, 2015, he ran for a seat in the Lagos state of Assembly and shocked everyone by winning.

Months later he was sworn into office at the Lagos State House of Assembly as a member representing Surulere 01 Constituency.
