Beyonce kicked off her Formation World Tour in Miami on Wednesday night and it sure seemed like there was enough emotional energy to go round.
During one of her performances in Miami, Queen Bey dedicated her hit track ‘Halo’ to her husband thanking him and professing her undying love for him.
“I want to dedicate this to my beautiful husband. I love you so much.” she said.
She also shared a touching story about their daughter Blue Ivy, saying that she sees her dreams coming true through her daughter.
“We were driving to rehearsal today and she said ‘Mommy, are we going to your work?’ And it reminded me that I dreamed of this day my whole life. Blue, I love you so much.” she added.
She then went on to pay her tribute to Prince in a very amazing way. While she was backstage for one of her costume change, “Purple Rain” by Prince was played to the audience as a big purple screen rotated onstage. And when she came out to perform, she said: “Thank you Prince for your beautiful music,” before going on to perform her song.
Four days to the launch of the tour, Beyonce released her Lemonade album which has since brought her marriage to rapper Jay Z under extreme investigation.
In one of the tracks titled ‘sorry’, Beyoncé sang about “Becky with the good hair” which has now turned to a subject of investigation amongst her fans. The Beyhive thinks that Beyonce was indirectly singing about her husband’s mistress and they seem determined to find out who she is.
Meanwhile, Jay Z was spotted looking very relaxed in Miami on Tuesday afternoon and was also at his wife’s rehearsal at the Marlins Park venue the night before.
It appears the couple are in a good place despite Beyonce’s lyrics in Lemonade like, “This is your final warning … . If you try this s— again, you gon’ lose your wife.”
However, a source close to the couple has revealed that the couple have had their fair share of rough times.
“They definitely went through a rough patch a couple years ago, but they came out stronger in the end.” The source said.
