Cardi B Set to visit Nigeria for first time


American rapper Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar popularly known as Cardi B is set to perform in Nigeria, as she will be visiting Africa for the first time this December.

Cardi B is expected to make her first visit to Nigeria in West Africa at the Livespot X Festival in Lagos on December 7 and will proceed to Accra, Ghana on 8.

The show is expected to hold in Victoria Island and will see the ace rapper team up with some Nigerian stars on stage.

List of Nigerian stars that will perform with Cardi B has however not been disclosed, as the organisers say it would be revealed in the coming weeks.

The organisers also say the event will feature live performances, great lighting, illusionists, top DJs, food, drinks, and festivities.

The ‘Bodak Yellow’ crooner’s trip to Lagos and Ghana is an indication of her ambitions to conquer the world and cement her status as a global star.

Earlier this year, at the 61st Grammy Awards made history as her debut album “Invasion of Privacy” won the best rap album of the year making her the first solo woman to do so.

The rapper beat Nipsey Hussle, Pusha T, Travis Scott, and the late Mac Miller to win the rap album award.

During her speech, the rapper, taking the stage with Offset, teared up while talking about her pregnancy and daughter, Kulture, who was born July last year.

Cardi B, born on Oct. 11, 1992 in New York City, N.Y. She released her first No. 1 single, “Bodak Yellow,” in 2017 for which she earned her first two GRAMMY nominations at the 60th GRAMMY Awards.

Her vibrant personality and social commentary have made her one of the most influential entertainers in the world.

Cardi B has, over the last few years, become a social media phenomenon, and her latest Halloween antics rocked the dailies when her choice of costumes grabbed headlines worldwide.
