A murdered woman was discovered this week hanging from a chain-link fence in Ohio, but passersby ignored the victim at first because they assumed it was a Halloween prank. 31-year-old Rebecca Cade’s body was found hanging by a sleeve from a fence by contractors who had first thought it was a spooky display for the upcoming holiday.
According to cops, the woman died from multiple blows to the head. Investigations reveal that she had been severely beaten and was trying to run away, but as she climbed the fence, her sleeve got entangled in the barbs on top of the fence where she ended up passing away dangling from the fence.
Cops found a bloody rock at the scene of the crime, which they believe was the murder weapon. Police in Chillicothe announced Wednesday they had arrested her acquintance, Donnie Cochenour, 27, on a murder charge. They also found some evidence implicating him in the crime.” Cochenhour has pleaded not guilty, and is being held in the Ross County Jail on a $2 million bond. Cochenour is said to have “mental health issues,” and was once found not guilty by reason of insanity in an assault case.
