Now, this is the aviation news of the year… Well, for rich folks like moi that are frequent and first class flyers.. lol.

If you think flying first class is luxury then you haven’t met Delta Air Lines. The carrier will this week begin  to  offer ‘high value customers’ the chance to be upgraded to one of its private jets.

Here’s how its done… Majority of the upgrades will be offered a day or two before departure and only to those who have achieved elite or ‘medallion’ status in Delta’s SkyMiles frequent-flyer program.

The upgrades will cost between $300 and $800 per trip. Reports say the airline however plans to focus the scheme on travellers flying on the East Coast and the lucky few will be given the chance to board one of the company’s 66-plane Delta Private Jets fleet.
