Looks like they’ve been hearing it! Olamide and Phyno’s hit track ‘them go hear am’ to support the Super Eagles almost instantly became a hit.
The song was sponsored by Nigeria’s largest indigenous oil and gas company, Aiteo, to cheer the team up as they play in the World Cup Russia 2018.
Recall that the Super Eagles theme song was unveiled at a party in Ikoyi on Saturday, June 09, 2018. The event was well attended by Aiteo executives, NFF officials, celebrities, and fans of the Super Eagles.
In the last two years, Aiteo has been very active in the sponsorship of football in Nigeria and Africa as a whole. In April 2017, Aiteo signed a deal with the Nigerian Football Federation(NFF) to pump in N2.5 billion into the National teams within five years. In its bid to support the local teams, Aiteo took over the sponsorship of Nigeria’s oldest football tournament, the Federation Cup, now renamed Aiteo cup. Aiteo is now the official optimum partner of the Super Eagles in the Russia 2018 World Cup.
The song titled ‘Dem Go Hear Am’ was done by Olamide and Phyno, two of Nigeria’s hottest hip-hop stars and produced by Pheelz. It is powered by Aiteo, currently one of the foremost football sponsors in Nigeria.
Aiteo has also announced that it would donate $50,000(N18 million) for any unreplied goal by the Super Eagles during the World Cup.
“Dem Go Hear Am” has become an instant hit, with over 300, 000 downloads within the first 24
hours of release. There have also been several positive comments on online forums.
