Oatcakes is a kid meal/snack that lets you sneak some oats into your kids’ meals. I say it is for the kiddos but adults can enjoy it too!

Ingredients for Oatcakes

The banana sweetens the oatcakes so ensure that you use very ripe but firm bananas for this recipe.

As with all kids recipes, feel free to add ingredients that your kids love and skip the ones they do not like.

  • 1 heaped tablespoon oats
  • 2 heaped tablespoons plain flour (All Purpose Flour)
  • 1 banana
  • ½ a carrot
  • A handful green peas
  • A small amount of dense sausage
  • ¼ glass of whole milk
  • 1 egg
  • Unsalted butter (for frying)
