Residents and traders in Oshodi Lagos were thrown into mourning when a woman and her child died after a tipper loaded with sand ran into them on Monday the 14th of January.

A woman and her child died after a tipper loaded with sand ran into them at Oshodi, Lagos while trying to make ends meet.

According to reports, the woman who sells sachet water aka pure water in the area was with other roadside traders selling their wares when the tipper lost control and rammed into them. Sadly, the woman and her child were the only ones who died in the accident.

A sad day indeed it was for Oshodi market sellers. The government has laid policies and ordered market sellers to sell their goods inside designated market areas.

Due to one excuse of the other, many are still found loitering by the roadside and this has led to the loss of many lives in the past via road accidents.
