We have a brand new poster for John Wick 3: Parabellum. Today is a big day for those who have been following the tale of the legendary assassin John Wick over the last few years. The trailer for the third instalment of the franchise finally arrived, giving us our best look at what Keanu Reeves is going to be up against this summer. This latest poster further drives home the point that the deck is going to be stacked against him, as our man Mr. Wick is facing down a literal army of assassins.

The studio had released several posters prior to this one, but this seems like the best encapsulation of what’s coming down the pipeline as can possibly be captured in a single image. We see John Wick, pistol in hand in the cold blue of night. In the shadows opposite him, countless guns from other well-dressed contract killers who want to fetch the very big price on his head. This is the challenge that awaits Mr. Wick in the upcoming sequel. But as Winston says in the trailer, the odds are about even.
The new John Wick 3 trailer makes it clear that there is no escape for John Wick, as the High Table wants him dead for violating the very strict rules of The Continental, by assassinating someone, who just so happened to be a member of the High Table, on the grounds of the hotel. Now he’s got a $14 million price on his head and, like the poster displays, virtually every gun-toting individual around is going to want a piece of the action. He’s going to have to stack up an unreal number of bodies in order to win his life back. Would we, the moviegoing public, have it any other way?
Chad Stahelski is back at the helm for the sequel. Stahelski co-directed the first movie with David Leitch, who then went on to make Atomic Blonde and Deadpool 2. Stahelski stuck with Keanu Reeves and flew solo for John Wick: Chapter 2, which nearly doubled the box office gross of the original. In addition to helming the third instalment of the trilogy, he’s also producing the TV series spin-off, The Continental, which is being developed for Starz. Lionsgate is also developing a female-led spin-off titled Ballerina. Though, we haven’t heard any developments on that front in some time. So, no matter what Wick’s fate in this movie, we’re far from done with the franchise.
Ian McShane, Ruby Rose, Common, Lance Reddick, Laurence Fishburne, Hiroyuki Sanada, Jason Mantzoukas, Anjelica Huston, Boban Marjanovic and Halle Berry join Keanu Reeves in the cast. Can they manage to stick the landing and wrap up one of the best action movie trilogies of all time? Here’s hoping. John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum hits theatres on May 17.
