The Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA) has denied reports that another building collapsed in the state.

According to LABSCA, the workers of the agency were the ones demolishing buildings.

There was an earlier report of another building collapse at 57, Egerton Square, Oke Arin, Lagos Island.

An online medium reported that the collapsed building was beside the one LABSCA was demolishing.

But Director of the Lagos State Fire Service, Rasaki Musibau, said that firefighters from the Sari Iganmu division had been deployed in the area.

Musibau stated that the building had a partial collapse in which four victims have been rescued and taken to a hospital.

LABSCA spokesperson Titi Ajirotutu said the building had already been demolished by LABSCA.

Ajirotutu said a scavenger was injured in the process of carting away door steel and other materials.
