The United Nations celebrated its 70th Birthday over the weekend and global iconic sites including the Egyptian Pyramids, the Great Wall of China, the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro turned blue to mark the 70th anniversary of the United Nations.
More than 200 landmarks in 60 different countries were lit up in the color of the world body as a sign of peace with the global celebration kicking off in New Zealand before making its way across the continents.
