Yea! We are crushing on our own role model, Nollywood crying first lady and strong woman, Hilda Dokubo also known as Hilda Dokubo Mrakpor.

Hilda is a Nigerian movie actress who came into limelight in the early 90’s with the likes of Liz Benson, Eucharia Anunuobi, Regina Asikia and much more.

hilda-dokubo-534x462She has always shown that she can fit in anywhere as she effectively delivered as the youth advocate in the office of the special adviser on youth affairs to the former governor of Rivers State, Peter Odili.

Hilda Dokubo was born as the first of six children in Buguma a town in Asari-Toru, Rivers state, where she went on to complete her primary and secondary school education at St Mary State School Aggrey Road and Government Girls Secondary School respectively.

She is an alumna of the University of PortHarcourt where she earned her Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Theatre Art.

hilda-dokubo-biographyDokubo made her screen debut during her youth service in a 1992 film titled Evil Passion. She has since been featured and has produced several Nigerian Films.

Upon starring in a supporting role in a 2015 film titled Stigma, Dokubo won Best Actress in Supporting Role at the 11th Africa Movie Academy Award.

She has a child (Tuvi Mrakpor) with her her husband Karo Mrakpor.
