She is the CEO and Editor-in-Chief of the prestigious fashion and lifestyle publication Genevieve Magazine which has existed for over 12years.
Betty Irabor was born on March 25th 1957 and hails from Edo State, Nigeria. She studied English at the University of Lagos from 1977-1980 and worked as a journalist at Concord Newspapers, freelanced jobs at the Vanguard, The Guardian, Thisday and Black&Beauty magzine in the UK and others abroad. She later ventured into the telecommunications business but gave it all up to start Genevieve Magazine in 2003. In 2005, the media mogul launched the Genevieve Foundation which holds an annual Pink Ball which raises awareness of breast cancer and also raises funds and supports breast cancer patients.
Betty Irabor always stands out in every crowd with her head turning and showing stopping ensembles as she more often than none goes for couture. She is happily married to veteran journalist, Soni Irabor for 33 years and they have two kids; Omoruyi and Sonia. Sonia definitely got her mother’s genes as she is one of the columnists on Geneveive magazine.
